In the interest of keeping my web site a bit less cluttered than my office, I dump my random links-du-jour here. Behold what occupies my brief attention span!

The Methow Conservancy: At times I have trouble reconciling my strong libertarian beliefs with my desire to conserve natural resources for outdoor recreation, climatic/carbon sinks, and preservation of existing genetic diversity. (I urge skeptics to explore the scientific literature from a neutral perspective for a few months. You may find the content compelling, as I did.) Overall, I favor a cooperative approach: keep your own back yard clean as an example, and encourage others to do the same.

Mike Baron's BADGER: During a brief recent run of my favorite comic book (an honor it shares with Bob Burden's Flaming Carrot), I started to compile a concordance of BADGER issues and characters, which I would work on during fits of insomnia. Now the comic's folded again, taking with it my obsessive urge to collate and index. (Incidentally, I consider "Klaus" from BADGER April 1991 to be the greatest Christmas story ever written.)
Mike Baron's HODAG: Not the same Hodag that BADGER fans may remember, this instead is Mike's retelling of the Badger story in prose form, as hosted at Steven Grant's prose comic fiction site.
Phenomen-X: Watching the Watchers: Serial fiction, set in the John le Carré and Robert Leonard meets H. P. Lovecraft world of the Delta Green conspiracy. See also the promising computer game currently under development.
